The Castle of St Peter dominates Bodrum harbour and houses one of the most important maritime museums in the world. Built by the Knights Hospitaller in 1402, it now shelters Bronze Age shipwrecks, Islamic glass, and the treasure of a Carian queen inside towers named for the kingdoms that built them.
