Details

La Boca — 'The Mouth' — sits at the point where the Riachuelo river meets the Río de la Plata. Italian immigrants in the 19th century painted their houses with whatever leftover paint remained from the nearby shipyards, creating the riot of colour that has made Caminito one of South America's most photographed streets.
